CHEMICAL AIR DRYER

Chemical air dryers are devices that reduce the relative humidity of the environment by absorbing moisture from the air. These systems generally use hygroscopic (moisture absorbing) materials to physically or chemically hold moisture. They are widely preferred in sensitive industrial applications.

How Does It Work?
Chemical air dryers work with special materials to absorb or bind water vapor in the air:

Moisture Absorbing Materials:

Silica Gel: Physically absorbs moisture from the air.
Calcium Chloride: Chemically binds water vapor and forms a solution.
Activated Alumina or Molecular Sieves: Captures water molecules with its high surface area.

Process:

Moist air passes through the dryer.
The hygroscopic material absorbs moisture from the air or binds it with a chemical reaction.
Drier air is directed to the outlet.

In Regenerative Systems:

The material used becomes saturated with moisture after a while.
By applying heat or pressure difference, the material is renewed (regenerated), thus ensuring continuous use.

Application Areas:

Compressed Air Systems: Removal of moisture in compressors.
Industrial Production: Humidity control in food, chemical, textile sectors.
Storage: Protection of electronics, pharmaceuticals and sensitive materials.
These devices prevent corrosion, mold and system failures caused by moisture.
